Life Just Keeps Getting MORE Interesting!

As the title dictates...life has gotten more interesting. Reason being, I'm taking care of my parents more. I'm working on small projects for my personal YouTube channel. Which is going well by the way. The stats for the personal channel is about the same as it was before advertising. Which is expected. 

My parents are not doing well both in memory and physically. But they are chugging along, which is good to see. Having said that, I'm doing a lot more around the house which is taking up time. Which helps make time go by so there's another plus. Regarding that I seem to be making it to the gym a day or two a week. 

STILL waiting for approval for a program that helps me find a job. The amswer should be coming next week. So that's another plus.

The gaming channel is als doing about as good as it was prior to advertising. Watch hours for that channel aren't as good, but still chugging away regardless. 

No Sunshine No Rainbows

Despite the sunshine and rainbows on the blog. There isn't sunshine and rainbows.

FINALLY Made A Decision

Finally made a decision as the title says. That decision is regarding going back to school and/or to work . It HONESTLY didn’t take long once I understood how things were playing out, it was ACTUALLY quite easy to decide.

 

More or less it was regarding paperwork and which one would get done first. Which is interesting because paperwork doesn’t normally take long to get done. THIS particular paperwork did take a long time to get done as it is STILL not done. The other paperwork IS done and sent off to whomever it needed to go to.

 

Now for the BIG reveal! Which paperwork that got done and sent in first ended up being…work! Yes the work paperwork ended up being done and sent out first over schooling.

 

I’ll be in a program that is a six month internship after which I’ll be offered a job at a company, if they like my work and me personally.

 

So that’s the 2024 decision for this part of the year. Stay tuned for my BIG decision THROUGH OUT the year, as it seems to be heading in the right direction per me and my personal life.

 

My family life couldn’t be MORE interesting even if you’ve added more interesting things on top of the already interesting things. That said, it not good. I can’t won’t get into it here, but HOPING for a better 2024 in that regard in the coming months.

 

YouTube is QUITE well. Both channels are holding their subscribers. Thus a little gains here and there but nothing like with advertising. I stopped advertising a while ago as it just got TOO EXPENSIVE, which is fine I’ve got to where I needed to be stat wise that I wanted to get to so I’m happy. There’s more traction on my gaming channel meaning more subscribers are subscribing to the gaming channel then the personal channel. HOWEVER the personal channel has more watch hours and subscribers overall then the gaming channel. I think I explained that right, any who if someone knows what I am talking about leave a comment maybe we can figure it out as to what I am saying together.

A Lot Of Something...

Hey! Thanks for stopping by. It’s been a GOOD year thus far! Life is quiet and that’s the way I like it. Deciding on if I want to go back to school again or not. There are a few options for school, ALL of which are in the Western New York area. Which is what I’m interested in the most about, regarding picking a school.

That decision came from talking to my counselor. I LOVE to learn and learning about things that has to do with computers. That said, I’m REALLY thrilled about going back to school. The other reason about schooling is everything job related is looking for a bachelor’s degree now not just associates.

Beyond that, YouTube is going GREAT! Up and over 1,000 subscribers on BOTH channels. That said, I stopped advertising on YouTube for the time being. More or less because it was costing MORE to advertise when in reality it wasn’t doing anything for either channels. So that’s unfortunate but unreasonable to now thinking of it. Hmm…if you decide to advertise your channel I’d think about it for sometime.

So this is it...

It's the last day of 2023. I'd say where the time go but I feel like that's a cliché. I love cliché just as could as you reading this do. But there’s enough of those ALREADY in the world. All I wanted to say is, thanks for reading the blog, visiting BOTH my channels (David’s Life Gamr4Life989), and helping grow both my channels.

 

It was a GREAT pleasure making things for you and I can’t wait to see what comes in 2024! It DEFINTALY looks up as where I’m sitting right now. BECAUSE I’m planning on going back to school to get my bachelor’s degree in computing. Not sure what degree yet, nor school, but MOST jobs want a bachelor’s degree now instead of an associate for some reason. That REALLY made me want to get another degree. I considered too that I’m halfway there, having my two associate degrees one in networking the other in networking forensics.

 

If that is not enough GREAT news my two channels are QUITE close to getting monetized! NOT sure however if I’ll be able to get the watch hours in time to get monetized before it resets the watch hours but given how things are going with both channels, I’ll TOTALLY be able to do it next year.

 Having said ALL that, let’s take a deeper dive into the channels shall we! Interestingly enough to get to where I am in my YouTube career, I’ve been advertising ALL over YouTube in hopes that NOT ONLY get people to watching but also KEEP them watching. Advertising is the key when doing YouTube, HONESTLY not sure if some/most of the subscribers are actually people or not but it's GREAT that they like my life as I see it. 

I'm Really...

 Life IS good. I managed to get a job at a local business with national ties. While it’s only one week in and the second week coming up, I really have NO IDEA what I am doing. Even as I can see my learning new things, which is awesome.

This job is NOT for me. But I’ll be sticking it out until I hear from the other more than few jobs I’ve applied to. The reason why I applied to a job I don’t like is because it was on a job website, and I didn’t read what the job entails. Beyond that, the skills I don’t have nor can’t seem to grasp even though I was given a quiz and passed said small quiz.

My YouTube channels are going well. The gaming channel is up to 64. Which is INSANE to where it has been at. Although I have noticed that the classic games are bringing in MOST of the new subscribers. Which is cool, I can’t wait to play more classic games.

 

Per the personal channel. I’m doing good with that. The channel has 139 subscribers. Most people seem to like the #RideAlong series the best. That’s awesome as I’m loving sharing my little slice of planet Earth. I see no big projects coming up for the personal channel which is a GREAT relief as I’m not having enough time to create let alone edit a big project right now.

Things Are Coming Along!

            Life is...in my perspective quiet. I have new games to play and old games to revisit. That part is wonderful! The gamer channel is coming along nicely! That channel has gotten up to 45 subscribers. While the personal channel is stuck at 137. I'm expecting both to make somewhat of a jump with in the next month or so, seeing that the new/revisited games are coming onto the gaming channel and the personal channel as the Backstreet Boys Project. Bought a new vehicle, which was also WONDERFUL! 

 

            As you can tell life is going QUITE WELL. I really have no complaints, done buying stuff for myself for the holiday season because of the new vehicle. So, now I am starting to save money again. Which is fine, I am aware that there were some GREAT deals that are still out there just nothing I want nor to need as much. No real plans for now till the end of the year if ANYTHING I would like to get back to the gym at some point.  

A End Of One Season A Start Of Another

 Sadly its end of the camping season. Buts its also the start of peppermint mocha season at Tim Hortons. 

    Going to my family's cabin is something I look forward to THROUGHOUT the spring to fall season. That said, despite the nature being in my blood its hard to say good bye to the cabin when its the end of the season. Not because I like being in the woods, but also its a distressed for me. Mostly due to the fact that I don't HAVE to go ANYWHERE or do anything. 

Having said the negative, here's the positive from a negative. 

Peppermint Mocha's are back at Tim Hortons, well...sort of. I had to recreate the peppermint mocha that Tim Horton's had in years past. Because for some reason, they have it in ice form NOT in hot coffee like its SHOULD be. Honestly, not sure why they (Tim Hortons) changed because its ALWAYS made sense to have it in hot form not cold ice form. But I don't work at Tim's and I don't make their decisions so...

Hoping U R Well...

I've been better. My main project for my Life channel next year, is getting done and I'm ENJOYING working with/on the Backstreet Boys show. It really IS a global show, which is awesome and that makes it ALL THE MORE enjoyable. But that's for David's Life...

Regarding the gaming channel people REALLY seem to enjoy the old games which are awesome. I'm enjoying playing games from my childhood, not only is it taking me back to my youth but I am ACTUALLY enjoying these games.

Life outside of YouTube is anything but simple. I'm taking my dad to doctors appointments which is fine he and I get to spend time together. Both my mom and dad are starting to forget more and more.

Just Realized...

 Hey, sorry about not posting for a while. I also just realized it has been a while. So, what is lifelike? GREAT! Beyond YouTube, life though is a little noisy. 

 

My parents are alright. I'm doing more around the house to help them. They seem to be forgetting more and more every day. That’s partly why I’ve been sticking around the house more than normal, so that I can help them more. Which is fine, I like helping them. It also makes me REALLY APPREICATE the time I’m spending with them as of late. All that said, not really in the mood to do anything other than YouTube, working with people through People Inc.

 

Nice segue waying speaking of YouTube. The channels are GOING WELL! The personal channel is up to 129 Lifers. Which I am officially penning as my fan base’s name for the personal channel. The gaming channel has yet to have a name of its fan base, but that’ll come in time.

 

Also the gaming channel is up to 29 people watching that is MOSTLY do the classic games I’ve been playing, which classic gaming made me stop and think that I’m REALLY not only one of many whom love to play and share classic games, but so much so that I’m enjoying that MORE then the new games that seem to be coming out.

Life Is...

Hey all! Life is well…AWESOME! People REALLY seem to like the #RideAlong series on my personal channel. Which is GREAT, although it is the SECOND most viewed content on my channel, behind the *NSYNC stuff.

The #gaming channel is doing good too! Everyone seems to like the classic games and Sims 4 videos.

Offline life is STILL GREAT! Community activities are still going on, as the weather is still good! A new counselor makes life vary relaxing and manageable too. Life is also calming down once my family seem to get everything together and figured out.

Another New Week

Life is going well. Been really stress free as of late. The only problem I can seem to figure out is what happened to the eBay account my family had. Somehow, we have no more access to it. So, solve that problem by creating a new account. That’s fine but still can’t figure out what happened to the old account. I don’t plan on selling things on eBay but buying stuff every now and then.

 

Debating about going to a job fair at a local mall. The reason being, is there is only one company I would be happy to work with/for. Regarding that, I still have a few days to decide. Maybe I’ll go anyway seems like a nice time. Beats the last job fair I was at, being outside in the sun. This one is inside in AC. So, there are two pluses.

 

YouTube is alright. My gaming channel seems to be taking off which is nice! I seem to be getting more views form old games which is nice! Hoping that the other games get off the ground sometime. Not holding my breath but will be happy to see when it does take off though.

 

The personal channel seems to be getting stuff done too. Even though I have been having computer issues, the #ridealong from Thursday to Sunday was delayed due to the computer’s age. But once I got it under control it was Sunday when Saturday’s ride along was up. The good part is that no one seemed to mind, me on the other hand that’s a different story. Felt like I let people down when things aren’t uploaded like they should be.

So people are reading my life...

I see quite a few people reading my life, cool! Thank you too! It has been some time since I posted. Sorry about that. Working on YouTube and trying to find a job took me away from the blog. So, what’s going on? I’ve been working on YouTube and trying to find a job.

Regarding the personal channel, it lost three subscribers randomly. Not sure if it was bots but most likely were, or at least that’s what I’m thinking. Makes me happy to think that it was bots. Right forgot to mention my personal channel is at ONE HUNDRED subscribers! I’m happy that people are liking the series #RideAlong where I drive and show off #WNY while I drive. That to me is NOT ONLY awesome but also is something that I look forward to doing everyday now.

Per the gaming channel, that shot up to seventeen subscribers. Beyond awesome for both channels of course, now a must keep that momentum. I’ve noticed that the classic games are getting all the love on my channel, so I think I’ll be focusing on those more then not. That and I like to play them too. Let’s NOT forget that Cities Skylines 2 is coming out in October, so not everything is new. That and I’ve bought it already and I’ll be riding that wave till it crashes. Well, that is true, I couldn’t help but not ignore the game that uses fans input to make a better game, plus Paradox has included the mods that the fans created for Cities Skylines one into #CS2! ALL that added REALLY helped me to make up my decision to buy #CS2.

Personally, everything is alright. A few job opportunities have come and gone. But this one job seems like it’ll be worked out. Just not sure it’ll they tell me officially yes or no. That will excitedly get my foot in the door and hopefully into somewhere in IT within a year or so. Beyond that, my life is quiet or at least it seems like it. Probably isn’t but, from my perspective, DEFEINLITALLY seems quiet. Which is saying something about how my brain works. I tune out life, for really no reason. So, life is a shock when things go wrong…BAD of course, NOT helpful yep, WORRINGSOME totally. That’s my brain though. There’s ALWAYS a shred of real life in the blog. People just have to read till the end to see it.

I noticed something...

I noticed that last week, I completely forgot the link to check my review of Mission Impossible 7. Oi! Any who, beyond that the personal channel is going well! I created my LAST *NSYNC projects over the week. Those will be bringing later. I’m happy the ideas are out of my head and online for everyone to enjoy.

As per the gaming channel it’s stalled even though content is always going up. So the good part is that I’m NEVER out of content for either channel. That’s the good part.

Although the bad part with the gaming channel is not a lot of engagement. That’ll come in time. As per the personal channel is engagement is up and people really seem responding to the *NSYNC shows. Just have to now get the channel away from that and focus on the life around me.

Which will happen over the course of the rest of the year. The *NSYNC projects will be less and less. Only reason being is that the old *NSYNC footage is hard to find. Expected that because we all didn’t have phones in our pack at the end of the last millennia and the star of this millennia. Oddly enough couldn’t find much for *NSYNC’s tour for No Strings Attached jus two songs fans record.

Although I’ve found two complete shows for their first tour Ain’t No Stopping Us Now. Not sure when I’ll be working on their first tour OR if at all, again not enough footage.

Beyond the channels managed to get a REALLY GOOD deal on Amazon Prime Day and for computer parts for a computer I’ll be building shortly! Thanks Amazon for the great deals! So what are the deals? Overall managed to get a three thousand dollar computer with all the pieces and parts for around one thousand dollars! Yeah I’ll be set for a while.

This week ahead

This week ahead looks to be better then most? Well here’s hoping!

I managed to see Mission Impossible 7. That was good! The other movies too seemed better then number seven. Left me confused by how it ended. But that’s why it’s two parts, thus hoping the story is resolved. 

Beyond the movie and review I’ve been getting to the gym as often as I can, about three to five days a week. During the gym, I pace the workout. Thus I'm gone for a few hours. 

Other then the gym the personal YouTube channel is the better of the two channels. I’m happy that the *NSYNC projects are done. Now I am focusing on life in and around WNY.

Having said that, its quiet a relief that the projects are done. Now looking forward to seeing not just another movie. But also recording myself out and about.

Welcome To Another Week

Having past the half year mark, a little big ago. Reflecting on the year thus far and overall could be better. Mostly because there’s a lot to do and little time to do it here in Western New York because of the weather. Medically I’ve been doing better since the Canadian smoke from their fire have been gone, so that’s a plus. Now getting back to the gym as much as possible to get back to where I was.

Although, YouTube wise everything is great! The *NSYNC videos seem to be the awesome part of the channel. Also, as of typing this out, this is the day for the LAST *NSYNC project to premiere. That makes me wonder, what’s to come stat wise for the channel. That’ll be interesting to find out. Everyone on my gaming channel seems to like the Cities Skylines map creator content. Which is awesome, was not expecting that to catch on so that is fun to see. Although I am surprised that the Sims 4 builds aren’t catching on. Wondering how to make a change on those videos.

All is well on my end! How are you? I have some great content on both my channels! 

The personal channel has a final *NSYNC project is do out next month. While a movie review is out today (Sunday June 17th, 2023). The movie was good and QUITE ENJOYABLE. I’m hoping to watch more movies like the one I’ve seen. Honestly surprised that Netflix owns some Nickelodeon franchise. Guess it works out because Netflix has some GREAT new content.

I’m shocked and surprised that a simple game called Bee Simulator is going well as well as it is on my gaming channel. I’ll be finishing that game up over the course of a few days if not weeks. Mostly because I don’t expect Bee Simulator to be a big game like the games I usually play. 

Some small weekend trips to my cabin but that’s it really. No plans other then that, as we all continue to move on through the year. 

Loving Life

 Thanks for…everything. Life is GREAT! I finished a HUGE project that is premiering on my personal channel in July. Keep an eye and/or ear out for news on that on my personal channel. I’m just relieved that the project is done, having the project done is helping me focus more on my life as well as other small projects for my gaming channel.

 

Although the gaming channel is doing just as well content wise. As I’ve got stuff till the end of July going to be posted. As the wheatear gets nicer, look for more community walks on my personal channel. I also don’t aspect I’ll be walking the same area twice at least not yet, nor anytime soon. Like I’ve stated before everything comes in time regarding either channel or in life generally.

 

Have a small life project that I’ll be posting more on in the future, regarding how it comes out. That said, how are things on your end? Keeping busy?

Guardians of the Galaxy

 Managed to watch Guardians of the Galaxy before it left the theaters. That would also make me one of the few people that has yet to see it. 

 

Regardless, never found a movie that I really didn't like nor a Marvel movie that I didn't really like. This movie seemed to be all about Rocket Racoon. Which was cool, although completely unexpected! I'm always happy for a backstory movie, when it’s NOT a part of the series. I'm firm that backstories are reserved for its own movie that is a side from a franchise. 

 

Stating again, I like the movie. I thought it was a nice wrap on Guardians of the Galaxy series. The storylines for the characters for this movie also made it a better wrap up too on the series. The characters seem more developed as you go through a series which is nice. The sets were also good as per any Marvel movie. 

 

I just wasn’t expecting a backstory, that through me for a loop the most. LOVE the cameos as in any Marvel movie too. Having Stallone doing a walk on scene and leave is cool, as is Matt Damon in the Thor series those are always fun too.

YouTube Life

 Hey, hoping all is well in your part of planet Earth. I’m doing alright. I pulled a muscle well working out. Still getting to the gym, just seems that I’ll be taking longer for the workout to finish. Which is ok because pacing yourself is better then going hard at it. That’s what I got from the pulled muscle, pacing yourself while working out is the best part of the workout.

 

I’m having fun watching stuff on Netflix, Freevee, Plex, and Tubi. All my streaming services are both free and not, I’ll have stuff to review till the end of time. Having said that, I LOVE to review things because it helps my personal channel grow. The new NSYNC posted videos helped grow my vlog channel, but also a partnership with a YouTube channel I came across. A little more on the NSYNC project, the odd part is that the NSYNC project is that the concert of their tour Celebrity is done it just wont upload. However, the rare unreleased songs from over the years that way NSYNC is helping to grow the channel beyond my imagination! So, there’s a plus!

 

I’ve also started a new series on my personal channel called I walk. That’ll deal with obvious walking different areas of WNY. That series will most likely be posting on Wednesdays. That is something to look forward to!

 

The gaming channel seems to be missing the mark, thus hoping new content will help it to grow. But I’m seriously thinking about not doing that channel anymore. I’ll give it a couple months and see what happens. Wondering if I shouldn’t just try posting and seeing what sticks. Mostly likely going to post random stuff and see what sticks.

 

Although while gaming I did figure out that, the add on for Cities Skylines (financial district) ruins a city and makes it go bankrupt. That was an interesting theory to list on the Paradox thread of Cities Skylines! After not investing money into the stock market in the game, the City of Portes rebounded QUITE nicely from under five hundred thousand dollars to three million dollars! But at the same time, that isn’t helping to get trophies for the game. Thus, I’ll be going back and forth from investing to not. Which is fine, I’m only keeping the city around till Cities Skylines 2.

 

Although I did find a fun life hack on YouTube though…More on that at a different time.

 

Yesterday my family and I celebrated my mom’s 80^th birthday, which is why I’m typing this entry out today and not yesterday. That and I just completely forgot…
